Sunsets are always impressive and when you combine prominent places with a magnificent setting sun the mixture is nothing short of extraordinary.

Did you know that the Sydney Harbour Bridge was officially opened on 19 March 1932 and at the ribbon cutting ceremony a man on a horse galloped up and cut the ribbon with a sword just before the official dignitary was able to do his duty. The man was placed under arrest and later fined for spoiling the official opening.

The Government placed a toll on vehicle traffic crossing the bridge to pay for the cost and it took 56 years to repay the debt, which was finally released in 1988.
