Motocross is also known as supercross and is a favorite sport for dirt bike riders, with thrill stunts and action packed races. Originally known as Motorbike Scrambles, the sport originated in England around 1924 and was held on natural paddocks. The sport evolved with the use of specially made tracks with bikes no better than street machines. It wasn't until around 1950 that suspensions appeared purposely built for off road bikes, from which dirt bikes were born. By the late 60's, Japanese manufacturers began making dirt bikes and the sport has blossomed since.
