Derwent River of Tasmania is one of those waterways that provide a city
with a beauty that captivates visitors while providing the denizens with
an aquatic playground. Our Derwent River jigsaw puzzle captures the mix
of a large commercial cruise liner against the backdrop of relaxing fishing
pursuits.
Derwent
River Jigsaw Puzzle
This photograph was taken on the lower reaches of the Derwent River
estuary at Opossum Point and makes a great image for an enjoyable
digital jigsaw puzzle game.
Did you know that the Derwent River is almost 3 kilometers wide in
parts and the Tasmanian capital city of Hobart is nestled around it's
shores. A deep water estuary, large cruise ships and battle ships
such as the Diamond
Princess and the USS
Enterprise have entered the Harbour and been guests of the Hobart
community.
Unfortunately, such a large river is now polluted with heavy metals
and people are warned not to eat shellfish and fish from the Derwent
River. Luckily the natural beauty is still untouched and visitors
to Hobart can enjoy cruises with one of the most popular being one
that sails up the river from the city and takes a guided tour through
the famous Cadbury
Chocolate Factory at Claremont.
Here is a short video clip of the Hobart waterfront area
of Sullivans Cove where most of the cruise ships and pleasure cruises
depart. Thanks to the people who took the clip and share it with all
through youtube
website.
