Murrumbidgee River Jigsaw PuzzleThis jigsaw salutes the Murrumbidgee River that runs through the state of NSW in Australia. The photograph used to make the jigsaw puzzle was taken in the Yanco - Leeton area.
The river has retained it's name from the Aboriginals, Murrumbidgee thought to mean "big water". It is the only major river that was not renamed after an explorer or politician. Today the waters of the Murrumbidgee are controlled and used for irrigation and there are some that are very worried for the health of the river. It has been noted that bird life has decreased dramatically in the lower regions, thought to be due to the lack of natural flooding. Fishing is still good on the river and produces Murray Cod, Yellowbelly and other native species, although the noxious European Carp is a big problem. This jigsaw puzzle comes with 3 different skill levels, easy, medium and hard. You can play the puzzle online by clicking the link and choosing "Run" or save to your computer by choosing "Save As".
