There are 32 bridges that cross the Seine in Paris which makes for a beautiful cruise for tourists. The oldest bridge is the Pont-Neuf near the Notre-Dame cathedral, built in 1607. Grand old buildings, historic gardens and tree lined avenues add an ambiance of nostalgic charm with such famous structures as the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame and the Louvre situated on the banks.

The River Seine runs through the center of Paris and splits the city in two. Continually dredged, the depth is around 8 meters and allows commercial barges to operate, bringing and taking goods and food directly to the city.
