Jigsaw Puzzle Australia Parliament House
This jigsaw puzzle depicts Parliament House Canberra in the Australian
Capital City. As with all jigsaw puzzles at ItExpressions, the puzzle
has 3 different skill levels that you can download or play online.
Did you know that Canberra is a purpose built city roughly halfway
between Sydney and Melbourne. When Australia became a federation in
1901, both Sydney and Melbourne wanted to be the Capital
City of Australia. To stop all arguments, it was decided to make
a city where Canberra now stands and that the city be Australia's
National Capital.
Canberra's population today is around 350,000 people and is a thriving
city. The original Parliament House became too small for a growing nation
and another had to be built. The photograph that is used for the jigsaw
puzzle depicts the new Parliament House which was opened on 9 May 1988.
Parliament House Canberra is a major tourist attraction which is open
to the public and entry is free.
