Did you know that the the English Bulldog was bred from the Asian mastiff and pug dog to create a breed of gentle, family pets with the first of the breed being registered in 1934. When they are pups they are playful dogs, ready for fun and games but as they mature into adults they become lazy, docile and stubborn dogs who do not like exercise at all.

British Bulldogs are very loyal to their owners and make great house pets. Their only downside is that they tend to slobber a bit and when sleeping snore loudly. Sounds a bit like my grandfather! Owners must be careful not to overfeed bulldogs as they can become quite overweight due to the fact they do not like exercise, yep that's my grandpappy alright.
