Did you know that tigers are classified as super-predators because they are fearsome hunters and no other animal within their environment, except man, hunt them. The largest of all the big cats, tigers are now a very endangered species with the majority of animals now living in zoos all around the world.

Tigers are found in many countries such as Siberia, India, China, Malasia, Vietnam and Sumatra and it is expected that the species of tiger found in Southern China will become extinct in the near future if it is not already extinct. There have been no sightings in the wild of the Southern Chinese Tiger for over 20 years and the remaining animals of this species are in zoos.

We hope that animals such as the tiger can be protected by their governments as they are vital to the worlds ecosystems. They are beautiful creatures which make good subjects for jigsaw puzzles and we are sure you will do your part in helping preserve these endangered animals just by knowing of them and their plight.
