Koala Jigsaw
Puzzle
This is a great digital jigsaw puzzle game for all the family to play
from a good photo of a koala resting high in the branches of a gum tree.
Gum leaves are the favorite
food for koalas and they prefer the leaves high up on a tree as they
are juicier that the lower leaves. Koalas very rarely drink water, getting
the moisture they need to survive purely from the gum leaves. Their name
is derived from an aboriginal word meaning "no drink".
Many people call them koala bears yet they do
not belong to the bear family. They are marsupials and are found only
in the eastern states of Australia and the state of South Australia. Koalas
are becoming a threatened species mainly due to forests being cleared
for farming and urban development. Bushfires can wipe out whole colonies
of koalas and steps are being taken by governments to protect the koala
by undertaking repopulating programs.
