Brown Bear Jigsaw Puzzle

The Brown Bears in this photograph are Kodiak Bears, the largest species of bears and found on the islands in the Kodiak Archipelago, just south of Anchorage, Alaska. They are also called Alaskan Brown Bears.

Kodiak Bears have a diet that is quite well balanced, eating a mixture of vegetation, fish and meat. The males can stand over 10 feet tall and weigh over 2000 pounds, indeed a very large animal. It has been reported that the largest Kodiac Bear ever caught was over fourteen feet tall. He was shot and killed after eating 2 hikers and it took sixteen bullets to kill the very large and angry bear.

All animals are great and have their place in nature. Humans must do everything they can to protect them in the wild and take care when entering their territory.
