Did you know that the giraffe is the tallest animal on the planet, standing some 15 to 17 feet tall (5 meters). The giraffe likes to eat leaves and twigs from the tops of trees and has a tongue that is almost 18 inches long so they can extend it and wrap it around their favorite morsels.

Other animals like to keep company of the giraffe because being so tall they can see danger from a long way off. In the wild jungle plains of Africa it would be good to have a friend like the giraffe.
