Hidden Magic Game Review

First you better know just what is a Mage. A Mage is a sorcerer or magician, said to be of good intentions, trying to live free from evil. Perhaps you know one yourself, as they like to live normal lives, doing only good deeds, using their knowledge of magical powers and potent spells to combat evil.

Hidden Magic hidden object game takes you into the lives of 2 Mages who live in a modest cottage close to the dark forest. They simply wish to share their strong love for each other and together live long peaceful lives. Their world is shattered when evil goblins, who are puppets of and even more dark and sinister force, kidnap one of the Mages while the other is away picking berries. Now you must follow the trail left by a torn map into the dark forest, using your magic potions and considerable strategy skills to free your love.

Hidden Magic gives you the option of playing as either the male or female Mage and has untimed relaxed, normal, and advanced modes, which give the game fabulous replay value. You search scenes for hidden objects, gathering items to combine in potions that you can use as spells during magic casting battle scenes. There are also a variety of mini games. Hidden Magic is somewhat like a RPG style game with good interaction and hidden object hunting combined.

Objects are not that difficult to find, yet in the battle scenes, you can be tricked into taking wrong items if you don't carefully consider what ingredients spells require. For example, one spell gives you the option of taking many spiders when what is required is just a single red spider. As you encounter enemies, you are shown their weakness and strengths so you can cast a spell that will defeat them. Witches are vulnerable to "water" so you choose a spell that will work the best from the 3 you are given.

With 48 levels, 2 different character roles, mini games to play and battles to win, plus the several game modes, Hidden Magic takes some time to complete. The only glitch seems to be finding a missing acorn that just doesn't exist at all anywhere in the game. Other than that this game is good and we recommend trying the usual free download version, playing the hour trial to see if it's one for you. Hidden Magic is a nice IHOG adventure, not too difficult in relaxed mode, yet quite challenging in advanced mode.
