Another very good IHOG has been released that is the follow up game to Curse of the Pharaoh The Quest for Nefertiti, which was an outstanding hidden object game in it's own right. Tears of Sekhmet takes up with the story where Quest of Nefertiti finished and improves on the quality and excellent game challenge that was produced in the first edition.

Anna collected many ancient artifacts to end the curse that the great and beautiful Queen Nefertiti had bestowed upon the earth, but there are some that have learned that if they can find Sekmets tears that have been flung across the earth, the curse can be returned and the holder of the tears will have awesome powers. You must travel the globe and find the Tears of Sekhmet before your paranoid brother-in-law Will, who will more than likely unleash evil across the earth, if he gains the power of the Tears.

Curse of the Pharaoh Tears of Sekhmet is a very well produced game, with a good variety of mini games and puzzles to compliment the intriguing story. There is a fair amount of player interaction within scenes, such as using a crowbar from your inventory to jemmy open a secret door or placing a scarab into the niche on the sarcophagus. (Try saying that with a mouth full of marbles.)

Hints are limited, but you can earn more by finding coins and mask pieces within each scene. There is no timer, objects and puzzles are randomized which gives Curse of the Pharaoh Tears of Sekhmet good replay value. It is quite a long game without being overly difficult. Great value for money if you are a IHOG fan.

The opening tutorial can be turned off in the options menu.
While this takes up where the last Curse of the Pharaoh game left off, there is no need to have played the first in the series. You will be able to jump straight into this game.
The map will show what it needs to be completed in each location.
Some locations will be locked until you play and complete other locations.
The map will also have a gauge to show how many Tears you have collected.
Each scene has coins to find and mask pieces to collect. These can be used for purchasing hints and tools.
In hidden object scenes, blue items in the list indicate inventory items and red indicates puzzle items.
There is a Curse of the Pharaoh Tears of Sekhmet complete walkthrough at BFG for those who are stuck. This isn't that difficult and using walkthrough may spoil your experience.
