By default your IE browser is set to a chosen web site for your country of origin, usually MSN or some website similar to it. This can be quite annoying for you if this is not what you want and there is an easy method to set the start page to whatever you choose.

Follow the simple steps below and when you start your computer in the futer your favorite webpage will be the default homepage. Then when you are surfing the net you just have to hit the home page and you are back at your favorite website.

Setting your favorite website as home page

Many people have their own website, or their favorite web site, set as their home page in Internet Explorer. This is the page that IE will display when you first open it and it is also the page that IE will go to when you press the Home icon (looks like a house) in the Standard Buttons bar near the top of the window.

To set your favorite page as your homepage:

• Click Tools on top IE toolbar
• Click Internet options
• At Home Page, type in your favorite websites URL
• Click Apply - OK

A quick keyboard shortcut that you can use instead of clicking the home button is to press Alt-Home, which will automatically take you to your home page.
