The Clumsys 2 Butterfly Effect Game Review
Grandpa
Albert is at it again, traveling in his time machine, going back
in time and changing the course of the world, just like he did
in the first
edition of The Clumsys. Now you, playing as his granddaughter
Helen, must again go back in time and straighten things out, so
the history of the world isn't drastically changed forever.
Grandpa brought back a prehistoric butterfly this time, and like a ripple in a pond, the simple fact that the butterfly is not flapping it's wings can cause havoc on all future events, breaking the chain of nature and altering the course of mankind.
While the time vortex was open, some modern day items were sucked down to times and places where they are terribly out of place, also causing potential havoc on the path of history. You can fix Grandpa Clumsy's mistakes if you hurry. Your quest is to travel back in time and erase the problems caused by your Grandpa, so that history books will remain the same.
The Clumsys 2 Butterfly Effect takes you into a delightful hidden object adventure, finding items that don't belong in time, fixing machines and inventions from the great men of time and collecting those items from the future that do not belong. There are interesting and educational facts about the inventions from the great inventors that add a touch of nostalgia and originality.
The Clumsys 2 Butterfly Effect is a fairly straight forward hidden object game, with some items going into inventory so that they are used later within the scene or following chapters. In each location you will have to repair an invention that was damaged by the butterfly effect. This will involve finding particular objects or items, then using the tools you have collected to repair the machines.
Not overly difficult, yet complex enough over the 30 chapters to give good value for money, The Clumsys 2 Butterfly Effect game will more than meet the expectations of most HOG fans. Perhaps devotees of the more interactive hidden object games will find it a little easy, but don't let others make your mind up about this offering, without at least trying the free trial yourself. As a straight hidden object game, The Clumsys 2 Butterfly Effect is right up there with the best.
There is no timer, hints are unlimited but they do need to recharge, and the items to find are indicated by shape images, which removes any doubt as to the items description. You will have to look in drawers and use various tools such as keys or other tools, like a hacksaw, to open locks and various objects. Mini games are sparse, so it can be a little repetitive.
The Clumsys 2 Butterfly Effect doesn't bring anything new to the hidden object genre, but it is a very well developed game, superior to it's predecessor, with a well balanced theme and clear and crisp graphics. We recommend The Clumsys 2 Butterfly Effect to all, especially those who like a relaxed game with some interesting historical facts to broaden the mind.
