The Cameron Files Secret at Loch Ness Review
The Cameron Files Secret at Loch Ness is a adventure type seek
and find game where you pick up objects and interact with people
to gain clues to move through the game. Unfortunately, there is
no free trial for this game, so you need to be a fan of this game
genre to even contemplate giving it a try, but if you do purchase
The Cameron Files Secret at Loch Ness, you probably won't be sorry
if you are into puzzle type games.
There
are a few other things that could annoy players and the biggest
is how you search a room. You have the 360 degree type search
where you just move your mouse and the room spins. This could
freak some out if they get motion sickness or vertigo. Again just
something that you should be aware of right from the start. One
other thing, there are a couple of timed puzzles where if you
don't finish them off, you are finished off, so it pays to save
your game regularly so you don't have to restart from the beginning.
So what does The Cameron Files Secret at Loch Ness do good. The
story is fairly solid in that you, as private detective Cameron,
travel Scotland to solve why strange and supernatural occurrences
are happening at Devil`s Ridge Manor, which is perched above another
strange Scottish place, the infamous Loch Ness. Don't get excited
by this as the famous Loch Ness monster is not a part of the story.
You need to scour the old castle for clues, which involves looking
at just about everything and trying to either pick them up or
move them. You speak with everyone you meet and you can even combine
objects to make something useful. You have a map to be able to
jump from place to place, an inventory of items found and a notebook
full of clues and instructions. Moving the cursor over the game
scene will show active spots which alerts you to areas that needs
an action. Sometimes you may be able to use that object right
then or perhaps it will be required later in game play.
The Cameron Files Secret at Loch Ness really is a good adventure
puzzle and if you like the seek, find and solve genre, as opposed
to the hidden object games, then this will certainly suit your
game preference. Be warned, some players will find the going tough,
if not downright hard, but it can be solved with a little concentration
to detail.
The Cameron Files Secret at Loch Ness game is very enjoyable
and a good workout for both your problem solving skills and concentration.
It won't be everyone's favorite game but that's what life is all
about. Some will love it and some will hate it, but you can't
please everyone. We rate it around a 4 star game from 5.
