Sprill and Ritchie: Adventures in Time Review
Time travel may be a dream for some, yet with the help of two
lovable but somewhat clumsy characters, Sprill and his best friend
Ritchie, time travel not only becomes possible, it becomes a fun
filled epic adventure.
We
have met Sprill before in a hidden adventure game where Sprill
was held captive by aliens in The
Mystery of the Bermuda Triangle. Now Sprill teams up with
Ritchie, who needs help assembling a time machine. When the machine
is assembled the real fun begins, as an out of control machine
causes a time flux where items from different eras in time are
sucked up and deposited where they do not belong. This could change
the course of history if things are not replaced where they belong.
Imagine stone age man getting his hands on a gun. What havoc could
be wreaked upon the world?
Sprill and Ritchie Adventures in Time is played over 33 individual
levels. No two levels are the same, which is more than refreshing.
There are 55 mini puzzles to complete, but you can skip them after
an alloted time penalty. Graphics are clear and colorful and items
do match the scenes in that they wouldn't belong within the background.
For example, you wouldn't find an electric lamp on a 17th century
sailing vessel, so it's the odd items that don't belong to that
particulat time era you will be searching for.
The story line raises a smile and the characters have definite
personalities. Sprill is a bit clumsy and breaks things, so you
have to search for all the bits and pieces to make sure nothing
remains where it doesn't belong. Fun to play, Sprill and Ritchie
Adventures in Time will take well over 9 or 10 hours to complete
when you play all the mini games, unless you are super fast at
all facets of hidden object play and problem solving.
Don't go past Sprill and Ritchie Adventures in Time, as it is
one of the best in a very good batch of hidden object games released
this month. There are no lists of things to search for, bascically
you search for anything modern from the 20th century, anything
antique, or pieces of things Sprill broke. Then there are mini
games cleverly hidden in each scene, the hints reload quickly,
there is no timer and the instructions are fairly clear and easy
to follow. We highly recommend Sprill and Ritchie Adventures in
Time to all.
