Pretty In Pink Review

Take a step back in time and relive the popular Brat Pack movie, Pretty In Pink, in this fabulous take on the original screenplay turned into hidden object game. Fans of the 1986 movie, Pretty In Pink, will love the similarities, yet there are differences in the story line and some puzzles thrown at you, just to make things fresh and interesting.

Pretty In Pink is probably aimed at the the female audience and the younger set, yet most fans of the hidden object genre will enjoy the whole production. Not overly difficult, you do have to concentrate on finding the objects and work out the puzzles, but you do seem to have plenty of time, even in timed mode, to find those smaller objects. There is a hint button that takes time to regenerate, and there are extras to find with a "clothing Hint" at the top right of screen that is blurry at the beginning, but clears as you find other items on the screen.

If you find the puzzles too easy you have the option to skip, but you do have to wait for a few seconds for it to generate before being able to skip that particular puzzle. Some people seem to think that it is a glitch in the game if it doesn't work immediately. Read the puzzles carefully, particularly the cooking puzzles and it tells you exactly the order that you add ingredients.

Pretty In Pink has good graphics, timed and relaxed mode, a nice love story where your direct input can manipulate the ending, funky music to suit the era and some scenes straight from the movie. Make sure you give this one a try. It is certainly not the worst game around, and there are those who love a relaxing hidden object game without the hair pulling difficulty level. If you enjoyed the movie, take a walk down memory lane and play Pretty In Pink, it's true love 1980's style.
