Masters of Mystery - Crime of Fashion Game Review

A leading New York fashion designer has been murdered, and you, playing as detective Carrie Chase, have been assigned the case. The more you investigate, the deeper the mystery becomes and your intuition leads you to suspect that this could be the deadly work of a serial killer. Uncover clues and use a variety of crime scene tools, to find the true identity of the killer become they strike again.

Masters of Mystery - Crime of Fashion is a serious hidden object game that will take time to unravel and plays like a scene from a popular CSI television story. You play mainly in hidden object style, yet use crime investigation tools such as finger print duster, UV torches to spot blood stains and magnifying glass for small object. Objects are relevant to the story and some are searchable such as purses and briefcase.

There are of course the mandatory mini games. These are also relevant to the story, as you will unscramble letter puzzles to deduct words that lead you to the identity of the murderer, finding differences in blood stains or match fingerprints on a computer database. With over 500 items to find in some 25 levels, Masters of Mystery - Crime of Fashion is a game that you just don't want to take a break from until you have solved the crime.

It does get a little irritating to the eyes when you find an object and it "takes a picture". The flash can get downright annoying. Other than that little annoyance the graphics are good, great story which immerses you into the plot right from the beginning to end, but with a poor ending. Objects are just about right, with the magnifying glass certainly needed on smaller items. Music is not intrusive and game mechanics are great.

We recommend playing the Masters of Mystery - Crime of Fashion free download first and giving the trial the full 60 minutes. We here liked it very much but some reviewers are calling it boring. It always comes down to personal preferences anyway, so try the trial to be safe.
