Keys to Manhattan Review

Keys to Manhattan is a pure hidden object game in that you search for, and find items, that are listed. Once you find all the items on the list you move on to the next level. Graphics are in the main nicely drawn and the game basically follows the story in that you search various locations around Manhattan for treasure that will help you keep the family house from demolition and locate keys that will allow you to proceed to the final stanza where your quest, solving your uncles disappearance, will come to a conclusion.

Keys to Manhattan doesn't blow the mind away like some of the fabulous hidden object games that have been served up recently. It is certainly not in the class of epic titles such as Drawn the Painted Tower or Princess Isabella A Witch's Curse, but would probably find a fan base among the new devotees to hidden object games. My advice before, you continue further, is to go and play one of those aforementioned games and give Keys to Manhattan a big miss.

Where Keys to Manhattan falls down to experienced HOG players, is the ease that objects are found. While some items are completely hidden behind other objects, such as having to find a cat on a chair that is facing away from the viewing, simply by hovering your mouse over spots in the scene will highlight the objects that you seek. This makes the whole game ridiculously easy and top that with mini puzzle games that are a breeze to solve, Keys to Manhattan becomes quite boring very quickly. The crux of hidden object games is to seek and find the items yourself, the way that the items are highlighted by your cursor totally defeats the purpose of the game. If you don't have to look for them, why bother hiding the objects in the first place?

Would strongly suggest that you play Keys to Manhattan free download, or if you are an experienced HOG player, not to even bother giving this title a try. We rate this about 2 from 5 just for the graphics and nice scenes, but it is not a game we could recommend.
