I SPY Fun House Review

I SPY Fun House is a hidden object game that would suit the younger set perfectly. That doesn't mean adults wouldn't get a kick out of the game, but some of the objects and puzzles are a bit easy for an adult. The narrator's voice is that of a young girl, which straight away stamps it something of a kids game. You probably have played a game of "I Spy with my little eye" many times in your life and now it is in a casual game.

You must explore the Fun House carnival and find tickets to all the wonderful attractions. You earn the tickets by solving puzzles and answering riddles and trick questions. The more tickets you earn the more attractions that are opened for you, or in I SPY Fun House case, more puzzles are unlocked. There are 33 riddles and something like 180 plus puzzles to solve.

There are no penalties for wrong answers and there is no time limit, making it perfect to take your time. Objects are not hard to find, but you must listen to the narrative to get hints as to the whereabouts of special objects that hold the carnival tickets that you seek. For example you start the game by clicking on the opening to the Tippy Tent and listening to the clues to find all the objects on the list. There is a megaphone icon on the bottom left of the screen which you can click anytime to hear the clues again, if you forget what was said earlier.

There is a educational factor within the game, as many of the clues make the player think about word association and there are some amusing puns that also will make you use your brain to work things out. Overall, I SPY Fun House isn't one we could recommend for serious HOG fans, but it is a great game for perhaps the preteen age group. The free download is perfect to see what the game is about, but if you have young kids, I SPY Fun House is an ideal entry to the world of hidden object games.
