Hidden Mysteries Civil War Game Review

The American Civil War cut deep divides within a nation and many lives were wasted in bloody battlegrounds. More than 10,000 military actions of one kind or another raged over 4 years from 1861 to 1865. Mark Twain wrote "The war uprooted institutions that were centuries old ... transformed the social life of half the country, and wrought so profoundly upon the entire national character that the influence cannot be measured short of two or three generations."

Now you can step back in time to those historic battlefields in search of clues to the whereabouts of a fortune hidden by a secret society. Hidden Mysteries Civil War is a hidden object puzzle game where the clues from famous battlefields will point to the location of huge amounts of gold and coins, stashed and safe from enemy hands.

Unfortunately, the game doesn't reach the heights that could have been accomplished with a fantastic storyline such as the Civil War. It is a shame that objects are small and don't match the period, which detracts from the overall game experience.

Hidden Mysteries Civil War does have good backdrops and reads like a history lesson, visiting actual battle locations for levels such as the Battle of Fort Sumter in 1861 to Lee`s surrender at Appotomattox in 1865. The audio is fine and overall presentation good, yet when looking for those hidden objects and you get articles from today's world, it just doesn't come together like a historic blast from the past.

Would strongly suggest that you try the free trial download of Hidden Mysteries Civil War yourself before buying. I give it about a 3 from 5 rating and was disappointed in that it was a tad short with tiny objects that certainly were not related to the era or scene.
