There are many interesting stories that can be wound into a thrilling hidden object game and this latest, Find Your Own Way Home, features not only a good story line, it introduces a popular classic rock band, REO Speedwagon, as an integral part of the plot.

For those who are possibly unaware who REO Speedwagon is, they are a highly acclaimed group of artists who made their way into the pop charts during the late sixties, through to the early eighties. They have sold more than 40 million records, with their biggest hit song being "Keep On Loving You" topping the charts at #1 during 1980. REO Speedwagon still performs and in 2007 took to the road on their "Find Your Own Way Home" tour of America. Hence the story for this latest hidden object game.

In Find Your Own Way Home the game, you play as Ruby, a reporter for Entertainment Now, on assignment to cover the groups road tour. The pinnacle of the Find Your Own Way Home tour is a huge publicity function to advertise the release of a new REO Speedwagon album of the same name. As the hour approaches to the commencement of the gala function, it is discovered that the band's front man, Kevin Cronin, is strangely missing. You must use your skills to track him down before the launch, so the release of the album is not a total disaster.

In the main, this game is targeted at the mature player, but not necessarily those who remember, or were fans, of the rock band. It does have a fair amount of variety, with the usual hidden object scenes interspersed with mini games, plus you unlock images of REO Speedwagon, and some of their music tracks, as you delve deeper into the game. With 30 levels, the game has a nice length, but can be a bit confusing at the beginning, which will mar the enjoyment for many.

Find Your Own Way Home is not a game that one could call a clear cut favorite, but has appeal if you give it time. The hint system is varied, allowing you to use whichever mode you prefer. The hint meter replenishes quickly, so you can try again if you missed where the paw print flashed the first time. There is no penalty for clicks and the challenges are varied.
