Enigma Game Review
Priceless
art works, cunning thieves and a chance to put your heightened
detective abilities to work embroil you in a fascinating journey
across Europe while playing Enigma, the latest hidden object game,
which has a slight difference from the norm.
The story behind Enigma, which is really weak and almost zilch
to do with the game anyway, is that precious paintings such as
Da Vinci's masterpiece, Mona Lisa, Picasso's abstract painting,
Maya
with Doll and in total 50 great works of art, have either
been stolen or are at great risk and you need to ply your extensive
detective skills to find the stolen art and uncover who is behind
the dastardly scheme.
What you will actually be doing throughout the game is finding
hidden objects and removing objects that should should not be
there. Plus, now this is an interesting ploy from the norm, repairing
damaged paintings by replacing objects that are missing from these
great works. Don't worry, it's not 100% necessary to be familiar
with the great works as there is a thumbnail of each original
painting to peruse, and if stuck you can move an object around
the painting and it will glow when near the correct position.
The whole game is a great exercise in art appreciation, a good
workout in hidden object puzzle solving and with 2 modes, story
and free mode, where you just hunt for hidden objects that increases
in difficulty as you move through each level, you do get some
good play time for your money.
Story mode is not too difficult to beat and good players may
go to the end in perhaps 3 to 4 hours of solid play. For the rest
of us mere mortals, it should give a real days enjoyment and the
extra bonus is the art works themselves. You just cannot play
Enigma without appreciating the beautiful work by these famous
and gifted artists.
