Sunshine Acres Game Review
Yet
another farm simulation hits the game community and while the
gameplay of Sunshine Acres is fast and furious, some players may
feel the farming game scene is becoming a little too predictable.
Plant seeds, dig weeds, water soil, crop and send to market when
ripe. Yep, all been done before.
So let's look and see if Sunshine Acres gives us much of the
same old, same old, or introduces something new to this saturated
and soggy game field.
Playing Sunshine Acres starts off at a fairly easy pace, where
you have to select a field to grow crops. You guessed it, sunflowers
seem like a good money crop at first so it's the usual watering,
tilling and keeping out sheep who think your crops are tasteful,
until cropping time. Then it's a simple click or 2 to get the
crop into trucks and off to market.
Upgrades will be earned so you can grow different crops, process
them prior to market and earn more money. There are 30 levels
in all and each level will have goals to meet within certain time
restraints. At the end of each level, unfortunately, all your
money and bonuses are taken away and you start the next level
with a clean slate. At least you are more experienced in the farming
industry.
The further you go into the game the harder it is to pass each
level. Now I do mean harder. Some are even finding Sunshine Acres
too difficult to finish and are giving up about half way. It is
hard, but not totally impossible and for me that's a great challenge
that will keep me playing this forever. Yeah I know, pig headed,
stupid, but hey, I love a challenge.
We have all played the farming simulations before so there is
that boredom factor and the high difficulty rating will make many
frustrated before finishing. I can only suggest you try the free
trial to see what you think of Sunshine Acres yourself. I like
it personally but must warn all players of the difficulty factor
that comes in around the halfway mark.
