Jane's Realty Game Review
After
having a fling in the fashion industry, Jane is back in the real
estate game to manage her husband's growing empire while he turns
his talents to the political arena. Jane can now use her experience
gained in Janes
Hotel to build a thriving city.
You are given house lots to develop new houses, which you furnish
and rent to gain profit. Later you can build banks, shops and
utilities and become a tycoon developer of sorts. There are lessons
to be learned along the road to riches in that you must supply
the basics such as water and power or the whole development will
fail.
Played over some 25 levels with 2 separate game modes, Business
and Design, you play against the clock to achieve certain money
levels. This is basically a great sim game with high replayability,
as each time you restart you are given lots in different locations
to develop, which directly effects the ending.
As with the games that have come before starring the intrepid
Jane, graphics, sound and game theme seem right on the button.
Yet the latest offering leaves the player a little bemused over
the games difficulty as to keep tenants happy you have to give
gifts that cost more than the rent in order to receive game upgrades.
Not a good outcome for any business venture.
The game is quite involved, so reading the instructions carefully
will give the best clues as to how to play and win. Me, well I
better go back and keep reading because I seem to have done something
wrong and can't reach that $70,000 goal.
Janes Realty looks great and has excellent challenges within
the game, such as storms which knock down trees, different towns
to develop and plays the added feature of house design, decorate
and furnish, very well. The difficulty may be a tad hard for some,
yet overall as a pure time management game, Janes Realty will
give the best players a terrific workout.
