Fill Up Game Review
Fill
Up is a somewhat hectic time management game where you click and
drag cars to service points that fill cars with petrol and trucks
and buses with diesel. The more cars you serve, the more money
you make and the more improvements you can then afford. Which
in theory, makes even more money and so on.
As you play Fill Up, you do have certain goals to fulfill and
the overall aim of the game is to achieve the coveted "Service
Cup" for excellence in customer satisfaction. Unfortunately
"customer satisfaction" isn't a high point for the game's
players and they would be better served playing a free game such
as Gazzoline.
The story takes you to a run down service station which you have
recently inherited. You need to improve the service station trade
and construct new buildings so you can offer more services to
your faithful customers. In an unusual twist, you can also organize
and run car racing events, earn upgrades and complete 48 various
challenges. There is a career mode for the service station part
and a mode where you must complete random missions, such as organizing
car racing events.
There are 3 difficulty modes, easy, medium and hard, but you
will be best served by starting on the easy, which is pretty difficult,
if not downright nigh on impossible. You click and drag the cars
or trucks to the service bay which they need and the whole game
seems to crumble into a frenzy of click and drag, click and drag.
At times vehicles signal that they want a paint job or car wash,
but the upgrades haven't yet become available, so one way to send
them on their way and collect some of the money for it is by selling
them some tires. It doesn't really add up but it's the only way
to get some cash.
If you get the feeling that this wasn't a game I enjoyed, your
right. Nimble fingered time management fans may love Fill Up,
but I saw it as a game that had great possibilities but let the
player down by setting goals that were unattainable.
You may like Fill Up so give the free download a try. Perhaps
my TM skills are just lousy, so you could enjoy this if your good
with time management games. I like a more relaxing style of game
in the tycoon type genre, the monotonous click and drag didn't
enthuse me at all. I give this at best a "try the free trial".
Or you could give it a complete miss and save yourself some time
deleting it later. Thumbs Down!!
