Swarm Gold Spaceship Game screen shot image When you play Swarm Gold, if you think that it looks oddly familiar you are fairly correct, as it is a revamp of an old favorite PC game called Galactic Swarm. Never the less, space shooter fans will have a blast with Swarm Gold, as it has all the goods that a top game should, is easy to play and you can become totally addicted.

You play as a hard nosed convict, who has been promised a pardon if you can go into outer space and collect some valuable mineral called EZT. Of course the catch is that there are these rather unfriendly aliens after the EZT mineral as well and they will try every trick in the book to beat you to it. It could well turn out that this space trip is almost a suicide mission.

There are other obstacles you have to overcome also, such as asteroids and space junk to avoid. You have a range of weapons at your disposal, you are an experience pilot and you have a good space craft, so it should turn out okay if you concentrate on the job.

As a game, Swarm Gold is an wonderful experience with excellent 3D graphics and seamless gameplay. You control the spacecraft with the use of the mouse, use the mouse buttons to shoot and the space bar to get a speed boost. One of the easiest games around to control and very responsive to commands.

Swarm Gold Game Hints, Tips, Cheats

Destroy asteroid and rocks for bonus shields and weapons.
Get some speed in a direction, then reverse direction as you let out a mine to "throw" it into a group of enemies.
Conserve your shots for nice big groups of of the alien Clagnor.
During bonus levels, use the mini map to seek out as many power ups as possible.
When playing level 21, blow up all the rocks and there's a special bonus prize.
Once past level 5, each rock destroyed has a 5% chance of having the Star Clubber in it. However, each level can only have 1, so you can stop looking after you've found it.
The Star Clubber can destroy as many rocks as you want, but only so many enemies before it blows up!
When you have enemies on your tail, drop a mine and then slow down. The enemy will also slow down to stay within best firing range, this trick will keep them in the mine's blast radius.
