Elias the Mighty screen image Break out the vodka and caviar, that famous Russian hero, Elias the Mighty, is in town and this unpretentious folk star needs to be fed. Help Elias the Mighty track down his horse, who was stolen from his stable and fight the thieves.

Elias the Mighty is a shape recognition, arcade puzzle game that brings to flash gaming something a little different from the normal fare. Match shape with shape and score points with which you can buy items to progress through the levels. You successfully complete a level whenever you reach that particular levels point tally before you match the last item.

Sounds easy but it does gets quite difficult after about the fourth level. From there on in, the difficulty remains but it does get a tad repetitive as there are none of the normal mini games to break up the boredom.

The story line is slightly fractured, doesn't seem to really go into detail with just an image at times, leaving you to fill in the gaps. Graphics are fine and well done in cartoon style. Background music has a Russian melody with good sound effects.

Elias the Mighty himself is a really huge fellow who can throw a thief from here to kingdom come. Look out anyone in his way, but you have to make sure you feed him otherwise his power diminishes. He's a bit like old Popeye that way, give him a good feed of honey, donuts or even flowers and his power is at it's peak and Elias can defeat all who stand against him.

Strongly suggest you download the free trial game of Elias the Mighty and try it for an hour first. You can then make your mind up if you want more or not as, while this is a bit different from the normal offering of late, the difficult factor may annoy some players while delighting others. Simply comes down to personal preference I suppose. Me, I rate it around 3.5 from 5.

Elias the Mighty Game Hints, Tips, Cheats

Each puzzle piece comes in one of several colors, the more items of the same color you place in a row the more points you get.

For example, place four blue pieces in a row you'll get a four times multiplier.

The highest multiplier you can get is a seven times multiplier.

Use the power ups which give you certain temporary powers.

The wand lets you fill any shaped gap with the current color.

Bonus symbols give additional points

The hourglasses will "pause" the game, preventing Elias from losing power while its activated.

Scrolls give you hints on where to place symbols

Gems can be used to buy food and equipment.
