Lost City of Aquatica Game Review

You may well need to be an avid fan of Match 3 games to fully enjoy the latest addition to the genre, Lost City of Aquatica. We are game enough to add our review to the mix so you can decide if this puzzle game is one you will want to try.

The story line takes you, playing as John, scuba diving off the coast where you meet a strange little magical creature called a "Sniff". He tells you that the Sniff's are a great underwater civilization but recently have had some real bad times. Their great city has been almost destroyed and this magical Sniff with a deep voice, has used his magic to enable him to talk to you and ask for your help to rebuild their city. Of course you accept and magically get an unlimited supply of oxygen in your tanks to play match 3 puzzles, collecting resources, selecting buildings and working on new construction.

Lost City of Aquatica is the usual match 3 type play similar to old favorites like Cradle of Rome , just more polished. There are numerous upgrades and power-ups that make clearing the board easier and you select what buildings you want constructed from a list. The whole game is bright and colorful with hand drawn graphics and perky music.

Unfortunately Lost City of Aquatica doesn't introduce anything new or refreshing to the match 3 genre but is still a nice and jolly game to play. The Sniffs are cute characters, but cuteness is not something that will sell games. There are 90 levels, so if your a match 3 game fan, Lost City of Aquatica could be a good play for you.
