Call of Atlantis Game Review
The
people of Atlantis stopped paying homage to their God, Poseidon,
and so this mighty God of the Sea and Thunder pulled the magic crystals
from the underwater alter, which kept the city of Atlantis safe
for centuries, and the city sunk beneath the sea.
You can restore the city by searching for these special crystals
in the seven lands surrounding the Sapphire Sea (Rome, Greece, Troy,
Phoenicia, Babylon, Egypt, and Carthage) and returning the crystals
to the alter.
Now we won't go into the nitty gritty of match 3 play here, as
we believe that most gamers are proficient in the knowledge of match
3 game mechanics. By the game developers Playrix, who gave us The
Rise of Atlantis (which you can play online free), some could
argue that there is too many similarities between the earlier game
and this latest edition.
Call of Atlantis does bring into the usual game style some interesting
hidden object finding and putting together puzzles type play, that
breaks the monotony of just matching 3 or more gems. Each of the
seven lands has twelve items to assemble. Eight are won by completing
match 3 puzzles, and the remaining four are located in hidden object
minigames, where you are shown the items which must be found within
the scene.
Call of Atlantis has excellent graphics, good gameplay and animated
backgrounds in each scene that makes this game shine like a beacon
in a stormy night, against other contenders in the match 3 game
genre. This is a game that anybody could highly recommend and with
free screensavers as an added bonus, Call of Atlantis will be a
popular addition to many players war chest.
